Driver Was Drunk, Speeding On Sidewalk, Morris Co. Police Say

The crash happened on Dec. 7 on Route 10 westbound in Denville Township, police said.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Morris County woman has been charged with driving under the influence following a crash last week on Route 10, Denville Township police said.

Stephanie M. Fowler, 32, of Dover, is now facing multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated, following a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Dec. 7 on Route 10 westbound in Denville Township.

Following a police investigation, Fowler was arrested for driving while intoxicated, police said.

Fowler’s charges include:

  • DWI
  • Consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle
  • Refusing to provide breath samples
  • Failing to install an interlock device
  • Following to closely
  • Speeding on a sidewalk
  • Improper drive on sidewalk
  • Open alcohol container in a motor vehicle
  • Reckless driving
  • Careless driving

Police did not provide any additional information on the motor vehicle collision.

According to Denville police, Fowler was ultimately released, awaiting a court appearance.
