Early Dismissal For All Morristown Schools Friday Due To Snow
A winter weather advisory remains in effect for Morristown through 10 p.m. on Friday.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — All Morristown Public Schools will have an early dismissal on Friday due to impending inclement weather, the district announced.
The Sunset Program will also not run on Friday, officials said.
Snowfall has already begun on Friday and will continue throughout the day until around 9 p.m. A total of 2 to 4 inches is possible in Morristown.

"Almost the entire area will see accumulating snow," the National Weather Service Mount Holly station wrote, adding that most counties will see 2 to 5 inches of snowfall, although 6 inches of accumulation will be possible in eastern Pennsylvania and central and southern New Jersey.

The snowfall is expected to taper off from west to east late Friday afternoon through Friday evening, though freezing or near-freezing temperatures are expected to linger through Sunday.

Today: Snow, mainly before 5 p.m. High near 28. North wind 5 to 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 100 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Tonight: A chance of snow, mainly before 7 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 14. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Saturday: Areas of blowing snow. Partly sunny, with a high near 23. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
Saturday Night: Areas of blowing snow. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 15. Wind chill values as low as zero. Northwest wind around 15 mph.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 28. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
