According to the Morristown Police Department, the early dismissal will only be on Thursday, Sept. 7.
The neighboring Morris Plains School District will be operating on a normal schedule, officials said.
"Some school districts across the county and state are opting for early dismissal schedules tomorrow due to excessive heat and lack of air conditioning. The air conditioning units in Borough School and Mountain Way School are operating effectively, and therefore, we will follow a full-day schedule tomorrow," the district wrote on Facebook.
