‘Elevated’ Italian Eatery Coming To Morris County Soon

Owners of the new establishment also own some other local restaurants.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown foodies will soon be able to experience more fine dining in their town, with Cotto opening its doors soon.

Cotto is a “fine Italian dining” restaurant that’s opening its doors in December. The eatery will use the space that was previously occupied by Guerriero’s, which operated at 90 South Street for 20 years before closing this summer.

Cotto is the latest concept from Stirling Restaurant Group, which also owns Morristown’s Stirling Tavern and Dublin Pub, as well as the iconic Stirling Hotel in Stirling.

Cotto’s executive chef is Jordan Petriello, who’s worked in Michelin-star restaurants in New York City, as well as more local joints, including Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen in Morristown and Il Nido in Marlboro.

“Expect next-level Italian fine dining,” one social media post read.
