Fiber Fairy Rings In New Year With Warmth, Love In Morristown

Do-gooder strikes again as temperatures plummet.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – With early January temperatures dipping into the single digits after record-breaking warmth in December, those in need of heat in the Morristown area are suffering.

And that’s where the Morristown Fiber Fairy comes in.

The anonymous do-gooder made her way to the Morristown Green Sunday to place freshly knitted hats and scarves on the historical figure statues so those in need of warmth could receive much needed help.

Just before midnight on Sunday, the Fiber Fairy posted to Facebook:

Hats and scarves have been placed with love in Morristown tonight by the Morristown Fiber Fairies. We hope that anyone truly in need of warmth will feel free to take a hat or scarf to help protect them from the cold. This is very important for people living on the streets or in homes with no heat.
