Ford Avenue Closed Starting Wednesday, Part Of Morristown Sewer Work
Police said southbound traffic will not be affected, but there will be a northbound detour to get around a closed part of the street.

MORRISTOWN, NJ— Police gave residents a heads-up that part of Ford Road will be closed beginning on Wednesday.
The closure is part of ongoing sanitary sewer repairs on Morris Street, officials said. Construction on the project began on March 11 and is expected to continue until mid-July.
Ford Avenue will be closed to northbound traffic at Hill Street, beginning May 1. Southbound traffic will not be affected, but drivers going northbound on Ford Avenue will be detoured onto Hill Street and Elm Street, and back to Morris Street.

Police said drivers may continue on Franklin Street to Elm Street to Morris Street, or use Madison Avenue to Normandy Parkway as an alternate to get around the detour.
Officials said to contact the Town of Morristown Engineering Division for additional information, and thanked residents for their cooperation during the construction.
