Freezing Temps Prompt Code Blue In Morris Co.: Find Warming Centers Here
Dozens of warming centers will be open throughout the county for the next few days.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Weather officials have called a Code Blue in several New Jersey counties, including Morris.
From Dec. 5 to Dec. 8, a Code Blue will be active in Morris County. A Code Blue occurs when the National Weather Service forecasts temperatures reaching 32 degrees or lower.
The National Homelessness Coalition reports that around 700 people experiencing or at-risk of homelessness die from hypothermia annually in the United States each year.

Thanks to Code Blue Legislation, all 21 counties in New Jersey are required to have shelter programs in the event of dangerously cold weather.
