Gas Main Work To Cause Traffic Disruptions In Morristown

MORRISTOWN, NJ — PSE&G is relocating their construction site to the northern block of Western Avenue, between Miller and Ann streets.

According to officials, this block will be closed to through traffic between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

On Monday only, vehicles will be detoured to Budd St., Fairview Avenue, and Searing Avenue on the western side of the closure. Traffic on Miller Street will also be diverted to Phoenix Avenue.

Vehicles can avoid the closure by taking Chestnut and Cherry Streets on the eastern side of the closure for traffic heading north into Morristown, or Miller and Budd Streets on the western side of the closure for traffic heading south into Morris Township.

Officers will be on hand to assist local residents who are unable to access their homes due to the closures.
