A scavenger hunt is also being organized, and there is up to $1,000 to be won.

The Grinch, after stealing Christmas, had a change of heart and left 50 “presents” between the three participating bars. Each box is an opportunity to win $20.

Here’s how the scavenger hunt works:

1. Organizers will drop bird’s-eye GPS screenshots showing the general areas where the boxes were dropped.

2. If you find one, open it, and take a selfie holding the box number you discovered.

3. Send the selfie to @Morristown.NJ on Instagram. (One per person).

4. You’ll receive your $20 prize via Zelle or Venmo.

Participating Grinches can also expect surprise games, giveaways, and more throughout the afternoon.

GrinchCon started in 2023 with around 900 guests, and returned last year with around 1,600 guests. More than 2,000 Grinches are expected to come out to steal Christmas this year.
