Heat Advisory In Effect In Morristown Area
Officials announced a heat advisory for the area that will be in effect from 10 a.m. this morning to 8 p.m. Friday.

MORRISTOWN, NJ— The Morristown Police Department issued a heat advisory until Friday evening. The heat index values range from 96 to 101 degrees.
Officials said that the hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. As a precaution, residents are encouraged to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned location and avoid the sun.
Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Those experiencing a heat stroke should call 911.
