House Burglarized, Car Stolen In Morristown: Police

Police say the car was locked, but a door to the home was not.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A house was burglarized and a car was stolen from a Morristown home overnight on Tuesday, Morristown police said.

The Georgian Road home was broken into sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, police said. The burglar got in through a door that had been left unlocked overnight.

Police say the burglar took car keys from inside the house to get into the locked Jeep Grand Cherokee sitting in the road in front of the home.

Police are asking residents to always ensure their doors and windows are locked overnight. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 973-538-2200.
