It's Official: Wall, Davidson Win Morris School District Race
After a pandemic-extended election style, the results are finally in.
MORRISTOWN, NJ —There was no municipal race in Morristown this year, but there is a race for the two seats available on the Morris School District school board and Elisabeth Wall and Meredith Davidson have secured the seats after a pandemic extended election season.
According to the final tallies, certified by the Morris County Clerk the totals were:
- Meredith Davidson: 3,039
- Elisabeth L. Wall: 2,681
- Oliver Starnes: 2,163
- Vivian Rodriguez: 1,921

Since the change to this year's election was announced by Gov. Phil Murphy because of the coronavirus, there were been many questions about how the process worked. The primarily vote-by-mail process, in tandem with the extended deadlines to receive votes pushed the certification day to "on or about Nov. 20."
