Jersey Tribe Celebrates Israel's Independence
Morristown-based Jersey Tribe co-sponsored May 12 event in Hoboken.
A cross selection of New Jersey's young Jewish adults danced the night away at Maxwell's in Hoboken on Thursday, May 12, as they celebrated Israel's independence day. The evening was co-sponsored by , a Jewish organization for young adults in New Jersey.
"I think it's fantastic," said Morristown resident Rebecca Missel, founder of Jersey Tribe. For a lot of the people in attendance, Missel said, "this is really the only way that they're going to celebrate Israel."
The main event of the night was a performance by the Shuk, an Israeli folk band, which had the crowd on their feet and dancing to the music.
