Lineup Released For 2023 Morristown Festival Of Books

MORRISTOWN, NJ — The annual literary event created by and for book lovers is returning to town, with over 100 award-winning and best-selling authors of fiction, nonfiction, young adult, and children's books scheduled to appear.

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists James B. Stewart and Rachel Abrams will be the 2023 Morristown Festival of Books' Keynote Speakers on Oct. 6 at the Mayo Performing Arts Center in conversation with former CNN correspondent Brian Stelter.

Stewart and Abrams will speak about their New York Times best-seller, "Unscripted: The Epic Battle for a Media Empire and the Redstone Family Legacy," which has been dubbed "the true-life Succession Story of Our Time."

The Morristown Festival of Books, which is hailed as New Jersey's premier literary event, has something for everyone. On Oct. 7, the main festival will feature over 100 bestselling, critically acclaimed, and award-winning fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and children's authors who will speak to audiences and sign their books.

On Oct. 7, KidFest is an activity-packed section of the event where kids can meet their favorite authors, get their books signed, and participate in crafts, face painting and other activities.

The kid's section features over 50 outstanding children's authors and illustrators who will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday (rain or shine) to meet visitors and sell and personally sign books.

"KidFest truly has something for every young reader – favorite picture books, chapter books, middle-grade offerings, and more," Morristown Festival of Books officials said.

The authors will speak and answer questions at several locations along South Street in historic Morristown, all within walking distance of one another, including St. Peter's Church Sanctuary and Parish House, The Church of the Redeemer, and the Morristown/Morris Township Library.

Book sales and signings will occur at a tent on the grounds of the historic Vail Mansion.
