Man Found Dead Behind Morristown Restaurant Identified

Police initially responded to a report of an unconscious male Tuesday morning, authorities report.

The man found dead behind a Schuyler Place restaurant in Morristown Tuesday morning has been identified, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp announced.

Oscar Alberto Romero, 23, is formerly from Honduras and had no recent consistent address to be traced, Knapp said.

Morristown Police responded to a call of an unconscious person behind the Sushi Lounge at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and found Romero, Knapp said.

An autopsy has been performed by the county medical examiner but the cause and manner of death are still pending.

Authorities do not believe there is any risk to the general public at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
