Man In Morristown Crosswalk Struck By Turning Vehicle, Cops Say
Pedestrian suffered non life-threatening injuries, police report.

A Hillsborough man suffered non life-threatening injuries Thursday night when he was struck by a car on Franklin Street in Morristown, Lt. Stuart Greer said.
Police responded to the area of Elm and Franklin streets around 6:10 p.m. Thursday night for a report of a crash involving a pedestrian, Greer said.
When police arrived they found David Rzeckowski, 39, of Hillsborough was walking across Franklin Street in a crosswalk path when he was hit by a sedan driving by Michele Mango, 30, of East Hanover, Greer said.

An investigation revealed Mango was turning left onto Franklin Street and struck Rzeckowski who was in the crosswalk, Greer said.
Mango was issued a summons for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Rzeckowski complained of plain in his lower legs and was transported to Morristown Medical Center for an evaluation of non life-threatening injuries.
