MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Officials said a New Jersey man has been sentenced to state prison after he admitted to sexually assaulting three women in Morris County.

On Dec. 8, Judge Stephen J. Taylor sentenced Nathaniel G. Yanez, 23, to an aggregate sentence of 12 years in New Jersey State Prison.

An investigation determined that Yanez had sexual contact with a 15-year-old at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rockaway. It was later learned that Yanez also sexually assaulted a second teen, aged 17, the following day at the same hotel, police said.

Officials arrested Yanez in March 2022 after an investigation by members of the Rockaway Township Police and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office’s Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit.

Yanez subsequently pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree sexual assault and one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child on April 27.

No other details about the assaults were shared by the agencies.

Yanez has been held at the Morris County Correctional Facility since his arrest on the initial charges, the office said.

Upon release from prison, Yanez will be under parole supervision for the rest of his life, and also have to register as an offender under Megan's Law, officials said. Yanez was also ordered to have no contact with the three victims.
