Man Who Stole Generator From Sparta Home Gets Probation, Home Detention: Prosecutor

Jason Morse, 36, plead guilty to theft in August, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor.

SUSSEX COUNTY, N.J.– A 36-year-old man who stole a generator from a Sparta residence was sentenced to three years probation and 180 days in a home detention program, authorities said.

Jason Morse, 36, pled guilty to theft on Aug. 1, Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch said.

Morse is ordered to attend three Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous meetings per week, obtain his GED, submit to a TASC evaulation, and pay $155 in fines and fees, Koch said.

Morse stole the generator on Jan. 22.
