Maple Sugar Festival Returns This Saturday In Morris County
The annual celebration includes history walks, maple sap evaporation demonstrations, maple cream-making, taste-testing, and more.
CHATHAM, NJ — An annual celebration of "all things maple sugar" promises sweet fun on tap for all ages this weekend at Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center in Chatham.
The Maple Sugar Festival is Saturday, March 9 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., said the Morris County Park Commission.
This event features games, crafts, maple cream-making, history hikes, and demonstrations on how to tap maple trees and evaporate the sap.

Frontier Maple Products will be selling syrup, and Stockton University's Maple Project team will also be there share findings from a red maple study they have been conducting.
Admission is $6 per person for ages 3 and up. No pre-registration is required.
