More Than 2 Dozen Scholarships Available For Morristown High Seniors

More than $290,000 in scholarship money is available​ this year, and will be awarded in June 2024.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown High School students can apply for one of more than two dozen scholarships from a local non-profit to help them pay for their future education.

The Morristown Education Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes educational excellence in the Morris School District, is offering 26 scholarships this year.

One of these is for a current junior. The others go to graduating seniors: Some are geared towards students pursuing their studies certain fields, and others ask for applicants with outstanding character, achievements in sports or academics, or a commitment to community service. Other scholarships and awards are earmarked for students who come from financially-disadvantaged backgrounds, or are first-generation college students.

More than $290,000 in scholarship money is available this year, and will be awarded in June 2024.

Students may apply for as many scholarships as they wish. Some require family financial information, one or more essays, and one or more letters of recommendation. Essays must be specific to the scholarship.

The application deadline is Monday, April 8 for all scholarships except the Judy and Eliot Steinberg scholarship, which is due March 28. Click here to learn more.
