Morris Co. Man Owned, Distributed Child Porn, Prosecutors Say

Investigators found several photos and videos depicting child abuse on the accused's cell phone, officials said.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Morris County man has been arrested for owning and distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

Armando W. Nogueira, age 38, of Rockaway, has been charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

An investigation into Nogueira was launched after a witness reported seeing child pornography images on Nogueira’s cell phone, authorities said.

Police found several photos and videos on Nogueira’s phone during the investigation, and he was initially charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child on Nov. 15, authorities said.

It wasn’t until a week later, authorities added the second charge, implying he had also been distributing the CSAM, officials said.

Nogueira was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility to await court proceedings.
