Driscoll Scholarship Fund Now Accepting 2025 Applications

The Community Foundation of New Jersey (CFNJ) recently announced that the Sue Elizabeth Driscoll Scholarship Fund is accepting applications. This scholarship will provide financial assistance for graduating high school seniors from the Washington Township Public School District in Morris County.

Sue was deeply passionate about education and children, and she taught for over 15 years in Paterson, Irvington, and Morris County schools. She was always the first to volunteer to help anyone in need, dedicating her heart and soul to teaching and supporting others. And Sue advocated for her students, striving to provide them with the best educational and life experiences.

This fund has been established in Sue’s name to honor her commitment to education and dedication to generations of students. It aims to support graduating high school seniors who are or were enrolled in Washington Township’s ESL/ML program. Upon successful graduation from high school, applicants must be enrolled or accepted at an accredited four-year college or university, an accredited two-year county college, or an accredited technical or trade school to obtain certification in a field of study.

This competitive last-dollar scholarship is given based on merit and unmet, demonstrated financial need. A student who has been awarded a full scholarship to attend the school of his or her choice is not eligible to apply. The amount awarded will depend on the financial aid received from other sources such as grants, scholarships, or funds for the cost of attendance.
