Morris Educational Foundation Seeks Executive Director

MORRISTOWN, NJ — The Morris Educational Foundation, which provides financial support to the Morris School District and its students, is seeking to hire a new executive director.

According to a job posting, the Executive Director will lead the non-profit's fundraising efforts, daily operations, the execution of its strategic plan, and promote a culture of philanthropy within the organization.

As well as providing financial resources and student scholarships, the Morris Educational Foundation (MEF) works with the Morris School District to encourage creative teaching, support student development, and promote partnerships between the community and the schools.

The part-time position is also responsible for building relationship with major sponsors of the MEF’s primary fundraising event, Morristown ONSTAGE.

"Passion for education and awareness of the Morris School District and Morristown community is a plus," the Morris Educational Foundation said.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of five years of professional fundraising experience, and a track record "in raising funds through individual giving with experience in cultivation and stewardship of major gifts," as well as management or board experience.

The salary ranges from $55,000 to $60,000 per year.

The Executive Director reports to the Executive Committee of the Morris Educational Foundation board and works collaboratively with the MEF board and Morris School District staff.

The MEF office is located in Morristown High School.
