Morris Students To Present 'What Parents Must Know And Do' About Social Media, Screen Time
Parenting expert and therapist Lauren Muriello will examine topics related to screen time, social media, and more at a student-hosted event.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morris Schools students are planning an upcoming presentation about how screen time and social media are affecting today's young people.
Frelinghuysen Middle School and Morristown High School will host a presentation on "what all parents must know" about how using social media platforms and mobile devices can impact their emotional well-being.
Up to 95 percent of youth aged 13-17 say they use social media, with more than one-third saying they are on social media “almost constantly,” according to a report from the U.S. Surgeon General last year.

Parenting expert and psychotherapist Lauren Muriello, LPC will examine topics related to screen time, social media, and more as it relates to youth. Muriello has presented in more than 100 New Jersey schools, the district said. She is the founder of Well Being Therapy Center and a mom of two
It will take place Wednesday, April 24 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Morristown High School auditorium (50 Early Street).
