Morristown and Song: Perfect Together
In honor of karaoke, here are some musical mental queues for our favorite town.

So, has . Which got us thinking: what songs do we think of when we think of Morristown and why?
Conveniently enough for this column's format, here are five that we came up with. Feel free to request one of these at your next karaoke session!
- You Need to Know About Super Junior, 'Sorry, Sorry:' Have no idea who Super Junior is? Well, you must not be a boy crazy Korean teen (or us, apparently). This pop sensation has blown up the charts in South Korea over the last several years. And, everytime we pop into for some of the best kimchi and bibimbap around, we have to resist the urge to do the "Sorry, Sorry" hand dance.
- You Need to Know About Dave Matthews Band, 'Funny the Way it is:' This one has several points. "Lying in the park on a beautiful day," in Burnham Park around noon, if you're lucky to be able to take lunch there. "Sirens passing, fire engine red," is a memory not far-removed from us during our time living in The Ambassador on South Street, as ambulances made their way to , and police vehicles zoomed from . And, "somebody's going hungry, someone else is eating out." In an urban center such as Morristown, this lyric hits a little closer to home.
- You Need to Know About Oceanlab, 'Secret:' The cool sounds of this electronic pop beauty remind us of the quiet that fell over the town during last winter's several big snowstorms, from sadly-departed (for college) photographer Jacob Byk. It was so quiet sometimes, you could probably tell a secret in plain view, and someone on the other side of the Green could hear you.
- You Need to Know Abut Marillion, 'Go:' We would be remiss if we did not mention our most favorite band in the entire world. If you have not heard of them, listen to this live version's lyrics and think about some of the late, crazy nights you've had in these three-square-miles of heaven. "Wide awake at the edge of the world."
- You Need to Know About Adele, 'Rolling in the Deep:' Reminds us of , just because they play the song so darn much. Love you, guys!
