Morristown, Cops Come to Terms on 3-Year Contract

Deal will be retroactive to January, report says.

Operating without a new agreement since January of this year, the town of Morristown and its police department came to terms this week on a three-year contract.

According to morristowngreen.com, the council voted 6-0 in favor of the pact, which is retroactive to January.

The contract calls for 1.75-percent salary increases for each of the three years to each of the 57 officers as well as 24 firemen, the report said.
