Morristown Festival Of Books Happening In October

The festival will feature talks from authors, special events, and more.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — This year’s Morristown Festival of Books will span over two days on Oct. 18 and 19 and will feature CNN's Fareed Zakaria.

The in-person events will be within a one-block radius of each venue, rain or shine. All events are open to the public and free, with the exception of select ticketed talks.

Friday night’s keynote event will be on Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mayo Performing Arts Center. The festival will feature Fareed Zakaria, host of CNN’s ‘Fareed Zakaria GPS’, journalist, and author, as the 2024 Keynote Speaker. Zakaria will discuss his best-selling book, "Age of Revolutions: Progress and Backlash from 1600 to the Present."

General admission prices for the keynote speaker talk are $60. A special Festival Champion admission is $100, which includes a signed copy of "Age of Revolutions."

Festival venues for in-person events include the Morristown and Morris Township Library, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, St. Peter’s Parish Hall, the Parish House of the Presbyterian Church, Church of the Redeemer, and the lawn at Vail Mansion. The festival center is on the lawn in front of Vail Mansion on South Street.

The Main Festival and KidFest will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19. Both events will feature in-person talks throughout the day.
