Morristown is an attractive choice for people who are at a career crossroads and looking to move to a new town, the study found.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — As advancements in technology and artificial intelligence (AI) continue to shift the job market, people are considering towns like Morristown to relocate and start fresh in their career, a new study found.
Experts at Careerminds.com, a global outplacement and career development company, surveyed 3,000 professionals who are considering a career switch to find out which cities in the United States are most appealing for them to move to.
Three New Jersey cities made the top 100 list: Morristown, Red Bank, and Hoboken. Morristown was rated the highest out of these three, coming in at No. 61 nationally.

Survey respondents had a preference for cities that offer a balance of outdoor activities and urban life, as well as a family-friendly environment. And, cities that offer opportunities for continued learning and career development are becoming more attractive, according to study results.
In other words, those who are thinking of relocating for a new job are looking for a place that both enhances their quality of life and offers new career opportunities, the study authors said.

“These top cities are beacons for those who aim to stay ahead in a transforming landscape, offering dynamic environments where career growth goes hand in hand with a fulfilling lifestyle," said Raymond Lee from Careerminds.com. "It's more than a change of jobs; it's about finding new horizons where one's career and life can evolve together in the face of technological change."
Morristown's lively downtown, historical heritage, and arts offerings boosted its placement on the list, with the survey authors also highlighting the town's growing economy in healthcare, legal services, and finance.
"Morristown's community-oriented atmosphere and good schools appeal to families looking for a dynamic yet manageable urban setting," the study noted.
