The statewide competition for pizza and meatballs benefits the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Does a Morristown restaurant have New Jersey's best pizza? Coniglio's Old Fashioned will await its fate when it competes in "Pizza Bowl IV."

Coniglios's Old Fashioned, located at 11 South Street in Morristown, won the official title of "Best Pizza" during last year's Pizza Bowl.

This year, the competition is set for Feb. 3 at Redds Bar & Restaurant, 317 Washington Avenue, Carlstadt.

The Pizza Bowl represents a statewide competition for pizza and meatballs. The Facebook group Jersey Pizza Joints runs the competition, which begins with statewide polling and culminates in a final bake-off.

Guy Madsen, founder of Jersey Pizza Joint, stated on social media that this year's tournament was simplified by categorizing New Jersey into three sections: north, central, and south.
