Morristown Roadwork May Cause Delays For Weeks, See Where

Detours will be put in place as the project continues, according to county officials.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Roadwork in Morristown has officials warning drivers to expect delays for weeks.

Paving work will begin next week on Sussex Turnpike between Randolph and Morristown, and the project is expected to last around two weeks, according to county officials.

The roadwork will be done overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday.

During that time, one lane will remain open for drivers heading from Randolph to Morristown. Drivers headed in the opposite direction will be detoured.

“Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to plan alternate routes when possible,” county officials said.

Officials added that roadwork related to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramps will continue during daytime hours.
