Morristown Rotary Club Champions Literacy, Redistributes Over 2,000 Children’s Books at Fall Festival

Over 2000 gently used children's books given away

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NJ – September 29, 2025 – The Morristown Rotary Club put books in the hands of thousands of local children and families yesterday by giving away over 2,000 gently used children's books at the Morristown Fall Festival on the Green.

On Sunday, September 28, the Morristown Rotary booth became a hub of literary excitement as attendees enthusiastically took advantage of the free book redistribution. The selection featured a wide variety of titles, spanning from pre-school through 5th grade level, ensuring there was something for every young reader.
“The response from the community was tremendous,” said a representative from the Morristown Rotary Club. “It’s truly inspiring to see so many families eager to take home books and instill a love of reading in their children.
This initiative perfectly aligns with Rotary’s mission to support education and literacy, and we're thrilled to give these gently used books a second life.”
We also wish to thank the Morristown High School Interact students for their invaluable services and Peapack Private Bank and Trust and Fully Promoted for hosting our Depositary boxes. The event highlights the
