Morristown Rotary provides Grant to CASA
Morristown Rotary Club Ensures Critical Support for Foster Children with Grant to CASA of Morris and Sussex Counties

Morristown Rotary Club has awarded a $7,501.46 grant to Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Morris and Sussex Counties to establish an essential in-house postage program, ensuring seamless communication for children in foster care.
The grant addresses a critical funding gap following the cessation of postage services previously provided by the Morris County Court system, a courtesy CASA had received for 38 years in exchange for its free volunteer advocacy work.

• Distributing the Annual Report and other critical supporter communications.
This grant will fully cover the first year of the new In-House Postage Program.
According to Lisa Firkser, Executive Director of CASA, “Everyone at CASA of Morris and Sussex Counties is breathing a sigh of relief with this wonderful grant award of $7,501.46 to allow our organization to establish an In-House Postage Program. "The Morristown Rotary Club recognizes that the work CASA performs is absolutely vital to the welfare of children in our community who are facing the trauma of foster care," said Aaron Oliver, President of Morristown Rotary. "By funding this postage program, we are making sure that CASA's dedicated volunteers can continue to send necessary court documents, communicate with families, and conduct certified mailings without diverting funds away from their core mission of child advocacy."
Advocacy for Every Child
CASA of Morris and Sussex Counties serves 100% of children in foster care within both counties. They rely on 124 trained volunteer advocates who currently serve 156 children annually.
Founded in 1987, CASA of Morris and Sussex Counties has trained over 1,750 volunteers who have provided advocacy for more than 7,650 children.
