Morristown Schools Closed Tuesday Due To Snow

The National Weather Service is projecting between 1 and 3 inches of snow to fall in Morristown on Monday night and continuing Tuesday.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — The Morris School District announced Tuesday morning that it was closing all schools due to snow.

The decision was made due to weather conditions and hazardous road conditions on Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a winter weather advisory for all of New Jersey's 21 counties until Tuesday afternoon.

The NWS is predicting up to two inches of snow with a mix of sleet in the area, making it dangerous for drivers on the road.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 13. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 24. West wind 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 18. West wind around 10 mph.

Thursday: A slight chance of snow after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. West wind 10 to 15 mph. The chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Thursday Night: A chance of snow, mainly after 1 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 23. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
