UPDATE—Morristown Student Spotlight: Pat Lia

Morristown's Pat Lia is doing his hometown proud. This sophomore at University of Massachusetts-Amherst is a Finance major in the Isenberg Business School. He received the Dean's List award for the Fall of 2012. Students are awarded Dean's List Honors for a semester in which they complete a minimum of 12 graded credits with a grade point average of 3.50 or better.

This Morristown High School graduate is also on the UMass baseball team and earned the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll distinction for the Fall 2012 semester. To be listed on the Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete in an Atlantic 10-sponsored sport must have a 3.5 GPA or better (on a 4.0) during the specified semester.

UMass Amherst announced on Friday, April 5 that Lia, son of Charlotte and Vince Lia, of Morristown, has received Dean’s List for the 2012 fall semester at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In order to qualify, an undergraduate student must receive a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a four-point scale.

Lia is a member of the class of 2015 and is majoring in Finance. Lia is a member of the UMass Amherst Minutemen baseball team and also received the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the fall 2012 semester
