Morristown Woman Crashes Car Into Home In Sparta: Police

Collision sends a GMC Acadia into the window of a building on Main Street in Sparta.

A rear-end collision sent a GMC Acadia into the window of a building this morning on Main Street in Sparta, according to police.

Sparta police officers arrived at the scene of a crash this morning on Main Street to find the nose of a large SUV in a window bay. The driver of the 2011 GMC SUV, 39-year-old Dana Ingoglia of Morristown, was waiting to make a right turn into the lot of a local business when she was bumped from behind, according to police reports.

According to the report, Ingoglia's Acadia was struck from behind by a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer, driven by 46-year-old Judith Curtin-Howard of Ogdensburg, as she waited to make that turn, forcing her car to go into the window and face of the residence on 11 Main Street. Curtin-Howard was issued a summons for Careless Driving.

No one was in the building at the time of the accident, according to police, and no one in the accident was injured.
