Old Lovers Testify In Mount Olive Homicide Pre-Trial Hearing
Ex-girlfriends of slain NYC retired police office, Patrick Gilhuley, take the stand in Virginia Vertetis's pretrial hearing.

One by one, the ex-girlfriends took the stand to testify at the pretrial hearing, according to a story in the Daily Record.
All of the women, including the accused shooter, 52-year-old Virginia Vertetis of Mount Olive, were tied together by the man they all had in common, Patrick Gilhuley, who was found shot to death in Vertetis' home, according to the story. Vertetis is charged with the murder of Gilhuley, 51, of Staten Island. The two were allegedly romantically involved, and according to court documents, it was Gilhuley that showed up intoxicated at Vertetis’s home on March 3, 2014. He died by multiple gunshot wounds a short time later.
Gilhuley's other ex-girlfriends stated that the defendant in the case, Vertetis, allegedly "harassed" them on Facebook, left threatening messages via text, and left them with the impression that she was a "psycho," according to the story in the Daily Record.
