With Snow Coming, Morristown Garages Open So Residents Can Clear Cars Off Street
Residents who usually park on the street may use the garages for free during the anticipated snowy weather, so crews can clear the streets.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — With a winter storm warning beginning at midnight Monday night, Morristown officials are asking residents to move cars off of the street so that road crews and first responders can get through.
Parts of Morris County could see a foot of snow, and forecasters predict Morristown may get between 6 to 10 inches on Tuesday.
Drivers who normally park on town streets overnight, and/or have on-street parking permits, may use one of the town's three garages for free, beginning at 7 p.m. Monday through 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Residents can present their parking ticket and driver's license, or other proof of Morristown residency, to have their parking fee waived. Vehicles must be out of the garages by 8 a.m. on Feb. 14, or owners will be charged for parking outside the snow emergency hours.
