Power Outages, Downed Trees, Flooding: Morris County Storm Impacts
The county is recovering from many issues after heavy thunderstorms and rain impacted the area on Tuesday night.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morris County felt the impact of Tuesday's heavy rain and thunderstorms. Parts of the county are recovering from power outages and fallen trees.
Nearly 200 people are still without power as of 4:00 p.m. About 1,000 people were out of power Wednesday morning. Jersey Central Power & Light had crews fixing downed power lines throughout the county on Wednesday.

Along with power outages, roads that have been closed are now reopened.
Green Village Road in Madison is reopened after News 12 reported a large tree came down outside St. Vincent Martyr Church.

Fairmount Road in Washington Township has been cleared of the tree and power line that fell down Tuesday evening.
Sussex Avenue in Morris Township near the #614 area is still closed. Traffic there has been detoured from Raynor Rd. to West Hanover Ave until it reopens. The area is expected to clear up by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Officials urge the community to report any downed trees or power lines by calling 911.
