Rainy, Windy Stretch In Store For Morris County: See Latest Forecast

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A windy, wet Wednesday is in store for Morris County as a coastal storm system moves through the area, forecasters said. Wind gusts may get to 45 miles per hour, and rainfall could be heavy at times, per the National Weather Service.

Periods of rain are expected to continue through Wednesday night, with showers also likely Thursday afternoon and evening. In total, forecasters say that Morris County is predicted to get between one and three inches of rain from this storm system.

There is also a flood watch in effect from 6 a.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday, per the National Weather Service.

Minor flooding is possible along rivers and streams across northeastern New Jersey, said forecasters. Minimal property damage is expected, but some roads may get inundated, the NWS added.

Thursday: Cloudy. Showers likely, mainly in the morning. Highs in the upper 40s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.
