Record Numbers for Normandy Park Musical Cast

The musical's cast involves more than 175 children in grades K through 5, which is the largest in the school's history.

Friends and family filled the Morristown High School Auditorium on Friday night for a Normandy Park School musical that included characters such as Paul Bunyan, Molly Pitcher and John Henry.

The musical Tall Tales and Heroes was a student performance by the Normandy Park Players. The 175-member student cast was the largest in the school’s history.

“This play is so much fun because it teaches the children about American folklore and legends of people throughout history who were depicted as exaggerated examples of goodness and bravery, through a production of dramatic storytelling and catchy songs,” says Kelly Harte, principal at Normandy Park School. “The students also learned that a hero is not just someone from the past, but that anyone today can possess these qualities – even them.”
