Scaffolding Being Installed Over DeHart Street Garage at Morristown's Metropolitan Lofts
Construction is slated for Nov. 9-11 and Nov. 17-21, according to officials.

MORRISTOWN, N.J.– Over the next few weeks, a new building is going to be constructed above the parking ramp to the DeHart Street garage at The Metropolitan Lofts apartments, officials said.
Scaffolding is slated to be installed from Nov. 9–11 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., town officials said in a news release.
Steel will be installed from Nov. 17-21 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., the release states.

During that time, DeHart Street right of way access will be closed to both pedestrians and vehicles from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and the entrance and exit ramp will be closed during those hours as well, officials said.
Traffic will be directed in and out of the Maple Avenue entrance, according to officials.

A temporary loading zone will occupy four on-street parking spots on Market Street during the Nov. 17-21 closure, the release states.
According to officials, the protective cover is designed to provide safety to pedestrians and vehicles during
construction and allow normal business activities to continue in this area.
The scaffolding will be 16-feet high to accommodate delivery truck access, officials added.
Updates will be posted on the town website.
