School Bus Crashed Into Live Wires, Caused Morris Power Outages
Reports say the children were safely taken off the bus.

LONG HILL, NJ — A school bus crashed into live wires while children were onboard Monday and caused power outages in the area, Long Hill's mayor said.
The bus crashed into a telephone pole at the intersection of Mountain Avenue and Long Hill Road, Mayor Matthew Dorsi said. None of the children onboard were injured and are now at school. The diver is also "OK," Dorsi said.
JCP&L is on scene working to restore power to the area.

The crash happened around 8:30 a.m., NBC 4 reported. Children were onboard at the time but were safely taken off by firefighters after the power to the wires was turned off. The cause of the crash is unclear; Patch has reached out to police for more information.
A messaged sent from school officials to parents said the students are safely at school now.

The bus ran into the woods near Long Hill Road and Meyersville Road, taking power lines with it, ABC 7 reported.
After the crash, JCP&L reported that 916 homes in Long Hill were without power, and another 723 are dark in Chatham Township, with scattered outages in Chatham Borough, Harding Township and Mendham Township. Power is expected back sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.
