Morristown Girls' Lacrosse Captures Second State Title
The No. 2 Colonials posted a 23-1 record this season, beating Kingsway in the Group 4 NJSIAA finals. They also won the title in 2022.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — For the second time in three years, the Morristown girls lacrosse team is celebrating a state title.
This past Saturday, No. 2. Morristown defeated No. 11 Kingsway at Hunterdon Central by a score of 10-6 in the NJSIAA Group 4 Championship. Five of the six seniors on the team were on the scoresheet.
The Colonials posted a 23-1 record on the season, also winning the Morris County Tournament and tying for first in their division (Stars & Stripes Red) with a 4-1 record.

Morristown's one loss this year was on May 3, with only one goal separating them and fellow conference member Summit at the match's end.
Morristown first won the championship in 2022, and also appeared in the finals in 2015.

Graduating players Caitlin Collins, Anna Szporn, Anna Rivetti, Megan O'Brien, Cathleen Moran, and Kylie Pfeffer have all verbally committed to play for Division 1 programs in college, according to a team webpage.
