The Seeing Eye Receives $5K Donation From Local Farm

Ort Farms corn maze logo helps raise funds for non-profit organization.

LONG VALLEY – Thanks to another successful season at Ort Farms in Long Valley, The Seeing Eye Foundation became the recipient of a $5,000 donation this week.

Ort Farms and The Seeing Eye joined forces before the fall season to create a corn maze design using the non-profit organization’s logo.

The design became reality thanks to a GPS and zero-turn mower that plowed through the field in August, when corn stalks were just 12 inches high.

The farm held a variety of events throughout the season with proceeds benefiting The Seeing Eye.

After reaching its $5,000 goal, thanks to donations from customers and local businesses, the Orts now have the option of naming one of the Seeing Eye’s puppies, which will likely bear the same name of the Ort dynasty with Harvey.
