This Morris County High School Is One Of The Best In NJ: Niche
Niche's released its latest rankings for high schools in NJ. See where The Academy for Mathematics, Science & Engineering lands on the list:
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Niche released its 2023 Best Schools and Districts rankings on Tuesday, and the Academy for Math, Science, and Engineering was ranked amongst some of the best.
The Academy for Math, Science, and Engineering was ranked 2nd out of 425 for best public high schools in New Jersey and 11 out of 20,032 in America.
Locally, the Academy for Math, Science, and Engineering ranks as the 1st best public high school in Morris County. The school has 182 students, according to Niche.com.

"The Morris County Vocational School District is thrilled that the Academy for Math, Science, and Engineering occupies one of the top spots in the New Jersey and national high school rankings. We are proud of the Academy for Math, Science, and Engineering’s incredible students, faculty, and leadership. Collectively, they have performed beyond expectations," officials said.
Niche's rankings differ from others that rely almost entirely on test scores and academic performance in that they include input from students, alumni and parents, as well as quantitative data from sources such as the United States Department of Education to evaluate teachers, resources and facilities.

According to the platform, Niche incorporated nearly 2.5 million school reviews from students, parents, and teachers, making it the largest online collection of school reviews.
The district offers a highly specialized Career and Technical Education (CTE) program called the Academy for Math, Science, and Engineering in collaboration with the Morris Hills Regional High School District.
Students in the program take challenging engineering courses and advanced math and science classes that prepare them for future studies and careers in engineering and other STEM fields.
"We are proud of all of our CTE programs and the opportunities they provide Morris County high school students," district officials said.
The Morris County Vocational School District runs fifteen other academy programs at the Morris County School of Technology in Denville or other local high schools.
Each program offers students the chance to explore potential career paths while still in high school, complete an internship and receive dual college credit.
