On Wednesday, DeVito, the Giants' rookie quarterback, clarified the situation, including whether he fired his agent.
DeVito stated that he did not fire Sean Stellato, his agent who has gone viral in recent weeks. Instead, he recently hired a marketing firm to handle his public appearances, such as autograph signings.

"Sean is my contract agent. That's what he is and I have a marketing team now to handle all the other stuff," DeVito said.
According to Paul Schwartz of the New York Post, DeVito has hired Maxx Lepselter as his new marketing agent.
This week, Stellato ended up drawing unfavorable attention to DeVito for allegedly mishandling Coniglio's scheduled appearance on Tuesday.
According to Nino Coniglio, owner of Coniglio’s Old Fashioned in Morristown, he received news from Stellato that the quarterback's attendance fee would be doubled from $10,000 to $20,000.

“After last week’s win, we received word from his agent that his appearance fee would be doubling (went from 10k to 20); We are a small family-run business & decided $20,000 was a bit steep for 2 hours,” Coniglio’s post said.
DeVito wound up stopping by Coniglio’s for free Tuesday, along with doing autograph signings at two other local businesses.
"There's a million things going on, there still is, and some stuff just slipped through the cracks. As soon as I got word about what was going on... I made some calls to my team at the time and got it sorted out. I found out Monday and said I need to go over there the next day, went there on Tuesday," DeVito said.
DeVito stated that he wanted a "face-to-face conversation" with Coniglio to resolve the situation. Promptly after, DeVito said he hired the new marketing team to handle "all that" so that everything could be smoothed over.
Stellato has been blacklisted from all Coniglio businesses, Coniglio told The Messenger. Coniglio also informed The Messenger that DeVito would be at another event in January and that all revenues from chicken cutlet sales would benefit veteran charities.
Coniglio's Old Fashioned is located at 11 South Street in Morristown.
“Tommy is a stand-up guy,” Coniglio told The Post. “He apologized, and this will be a great thing for charity. Amends were made with him. I support Tommy.”
"Everything you do is under a microscope times 100. Just continue to be yourself," DeVito said.
