Tommy DeVito Makes Surprise Visit At Morristown Restaurant
Following an argument over an appearance fee, NFL player Tommy DeVito has settled with a Morristown pizzeria.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Tommy DeVito was able to make amends with a local pizzeria on Tuesday night after receiving a lot of heat for allegedly boosting his appearance fee.
According to Nino Coniglio, owner of Coniglio’s Old Fashioned in Morristown, the restaurant received a special visitor Tuesday afternoon when DeVito came unpaid.
The New York Giants quarterback spent several hours with the restaurant's owners and local fans.

“It was really important to me,” DeVito told The Post. “There was a lot going at that time — and a lot of people doing different things as part of my team. Some things slipped through the cracks and as soon as I was made aware of it — which was Monday, when it hit my phone — that’s when I was like, ‘We need to go in there, meet him face to face, set things right, eat the awesome pizza and have fun.”

The restaurant also shared an Instagram story of DeVito eating with Coniglio, with the caption “nothing but love,” alongside photos of DeVito holding Coniglio's baby.
Coniglio did not immediately respond to Patch's request for comment.
The initial controversy began earlier this week when Coniglio claimed they received news from DeVito's agent, Sean Stellato, that the rookie quarterback's attendance fee would be doubled from $10,000 to $20,000.
“After last week’s win, we received word from his agent that his appearance fee would be doubling (went from 10k to 20); We are a small family-run business & decided $20,000 was a bit steep for 2 hours,” Coniglio’s post said.
It sparked a back-and-forth between the two sides, with Coniglio sending text messages containing the agreement.
“We agreed in principle to terms — 2 hours, 250 autographs and $10,000 and then the agent couldn’t be reached. He reached back out after Monday’s game to tell us the price was now $20,000,” Coniglio told sports business reporter Darren Rovell.
Stellato did not attend on Tuesday and is blacklisted from all Coniglio businesses, Coniglio told The Messenger. Coniglio also informed The Messenger that a second DeVito event will be held in January and that all revenues from chicken cutlet sales will benefit veteran charities.
Coniglio's Old Fashioned is located at 11 South Street in Morristown.
“Tommy is a stand-up guy,” Coniglio told The Post. “He apologized, and this will be a great thing for charity. Amends were made with him. I support Tommy.”
