The watch now expires at 10 p.m. The watch is also in place in the following New Jersey counties: Bergen, Essex, Mercer, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Somerset, Passaic, Sussex, Union and Warren. The tornado watch means tornadoes are possible in and near the watch area. Residents in the watch area should be ready to act quickly if a warning is issued.
