Union Man Convicted of Joining Friends in Gang Rape of Morristown Teen

Aquil Malik, 23, formerly of Morristown was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl back in 2011, the Daily Record reported.

MORRISTOWN, N.J.– A 23-year-old Union man was found guilty of joining two friends in the sexual assault of an intoxicated 17-year-old girl back in 2011, the Daily Record reported.

According to the Daily Record, Aquil Malik, a former Morristown resident, was 17 when the incident occured.

The victim testified that she asked to be driven home after drinking alcohol and vomiting and awoke to Malik having intercourse with her inside a car, the Daily Record reported.

The Daily Record reported that Malik was found guilty of two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of sexual assault.
