Voyeur Put Cameras In Morris County Store Bathroom: Police

Nicholas Zirpoli, 35, has been charged in connection with filming male and female employees at Plato's Closet in Roxbury.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — The owner and operator of Plato’s Closet, a clothing retail store in Roxbury Township, has been charged after officials say he secretly recorded employees going to the bathroom in the store.

Nicholas Zirpoli, 35, of Lincoln Park, has been charged with nine counts of invasion of privacy, a crime of the third degree, and one count of tampering with evidence, a crime of the fourth degree, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll announced on Friday.

According to authorities, on or about Feb. 26, Zirpoli is alleged to have used a device to videotape several male and female employees using the restroom at Plato’s Closet and then destroying evidence related to these acts.

Following his arrest, Zirpoli was released under the terms of the Criminal Justice Reform Act with pretrial release conditions that included monitoring, police said.

Members of the Roxbury Township Police Department and Morris County Prosecutor’s Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit participated in the investigation leading to Zirpoli’s arrest, Carroll said.
